About Bridges Calgary Association
Who we are
In response to the rising tide of antisemitism, individuals from both the Jewish and Christian faiths have joined forces and founded a new, non-profit organization, Bridges. We are excited at the prospect of working together to effect positive change.
We aim to create a welcoming space where Jews and non-Jews can come together to build goodwill, educate one another about their religious traditions, and break down barriers. By supporting cultural engagement and meaningful conversations, we hope to strengthen and unify our communities towards a shared purpose.
Our Mission
Our mission is to combat antisemitism by creating bridges of understanding, cultural exchange, and shared purpose. Through interfaith engagement, we hope to build strong partnerships between Jewish and non-Jewish communities, creating a united front to address antisemitism. Working together in solidarity with our new allies, we will actively confront and combat antisemitism.
What We Do
Our non-profit is dedicated to fostering understanding, connection, and respect between Jewish and non-Jewish communities through meaningful face-to-face engagement. We organize and facilitate interfaith events where people come together to share traditions, celebrate cultural, and build personal relationships across religious lines. By creating spaces for open dialogue and authentic interaction, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen the social fabric of our broader community.
Education and call to action
We will guide individuals and organisations to established resources and tools available to help recognise and counteract antisemitism.
